Re: a own server for actualy voxeland client

Hi soognarf,

To make server for GNU/Linux.

1. Download the source from the download page.
2. extract it: `tar xf voxelands-*-src.tar.bz2'
3. cd to the voxelands directory: `cd voxelands'
4. use cmake to prepare a server build: `cmake -DRUN_IN_PLACE=1 -DBUILD_SERVER=1 -DBUILD_CLIENT=0 .'
5. compile it: `make -j4'
6. run it: bin/voxelands-server

You can change the settings of your server by either:
1. Shut down the server, edit voxelands.conf, start server again
or 2. or use `/setting name = value' in game.

A look at voxelands.conf.example will show is you the various settings you can change, and what they do.

For your AIs, take a looks at src/clientserver.h and doc/protocol.txt these files contains the contain some information on the network protocol used by voxelands that may be of help to you. You might also find it useful to join our #voxelands IRC channel on irc.freenode.net
