How to contribute exactly

Hi,

I would like to contribute to the protect, I have experience programming in C++ on Linux (am a bit rusty).

I have been looking through the code and it looks well organized smile

So for example I think the sound for digging dirt sounds way off, it sounds hollow, like it is some kind of wood being knocked on. Lets say I change that and also start working on a moving sun for example, how would you like such contributions? Pull requests from Github or some other way perhaps?

Kind regards.

Re: How to contribute exactly

A moving sun would be awesome, as would some better sounds. The code is on GitLab (https://gitlab.com/voxelands/voxelands/), so making a merge request there is the best way to get your code in. If you really want to use some other git hosting site/service though, then join the irc channel so you can let me know when there's something to pull.

Also, development should always be made on the 'next' branch, as that contains the development code for the next release.

Re: How to contribute exactly

Thank you very much for your reply and for the great work!

I am so busy, but I will try my best to make time for some dev work on Voxelands ASAP.

The game is great, hitting right on the spot where both Minetest and Minecraft lacks IMHO.

By the way, I am running a small Voxelands server for some family and friends on a Raspberry PI-2 and Voxelands runs great, doesn't even tax the CPU at full! Fantastic!
