More Guides

I would suggest more guides. eventually with an game setting to choose between the original guides and advanced guides.

Currently we have:
Craft Guide: How to make it.
Reverse Craft Guide: What can it be used for.
Cook Book: Acquired from cooking.
Decraft Guide: Acquired from digging.
Especially the Craft Guide can be cumbersome as it both contains a huge amount of items and a somewhat confusng mix of various items.

It could be changed to:
Librarians Guide: How to make the other guides
Tailors Guide: Clothing Items and cloth ( leather canvas sheet, cotton sheet)
Collectors Guide: How to get raw materials.
Carpenters Guide: Furniture and Decorations (paintings, carpets, knobs ... )
Masons Guide: Structural Block (roof tiles, stairs, blocks, bricks, walls, fences, doors ... )
Smithys Guide: Tools and weapons and torches
Electricians Guide: Power sources, wires, gates, lighting items, pistons and other thing that are related to electricity/power
Chefs Guide: Food and food related items.
Smelters Guide: other items that need to be cooked.
Specialities Guide: Items that do not fit into the other guides. (if any)

And then I will suggest that the guides get one or two extra slots.
Slot 1: What do you have to chop/hunt/dig/shear/harvest to get this.
Slot 2: what structure/tool is required ( cauldron furnace forge shovel axe pickaxe etc). for tools show only the minimum requirement
Slot 3 (the 3x3 grid): What inventory items is need to construct this.

Examples:
Collectors Guide: Coal = coal deposit + small pick axe + <empty>.
Collectors Guide: Raw Mithril = mithril deposit + Steel pickaxe + <empty>
Smelters Guide: Steel Ingot = <empty> + furnace + iron ore.
Carpenters Guide: Bed = <empty> + <empty> + (the nine items)
Collectors Guide: String (1): cotton plant + <empty> + <empty>
Collectors Guide: String (2): <empty> + <empty> + cotton
Collectors Guide: String (3): Sheep + stone shears + <empty>
Chefs Guide: Apple Pie = <empty> + furnace + raw apple pie

And maybe a stove can be introduced so:
Stove is for cooking food
Furnace is for smelting

And then the last example should be changed to:
Chefs Guide: Apple Pie = <empty> + stove + raw apple pie

Re: More Guides

My thought was that it was included in the "Smithys Guide".

But then again, maybe there should also be a "Forgers Guide" for that.

And then you do not have to list all the possible Mithril Weapons/Tools in he Smithys Guide
e.g. if you consider the different combinations, arrangement, shafts and the mirrored recipe for axes there is a total of 1266 different ways to make an enchanted axe (compared to the 26 ways to make a non-enchanted axe.)

With a forgers guide you need to only list 7 arrangement 3 shafts and the miirrored recipe for a total of 42 as you will need only to show the combinations of Mithril and Unobound Mithril.

Re: More Guides

I will try to explain:
If you take a look at e.g. a flint axe, it shows 6 different ways to make it: 1 for each type of wood plank and both a left and a right version.
If the same should be shown for e.g. a Mithril axe with 1 Aeterna, 1 Velox and 1 Indomitus it would need to show 36 different ways:
3 different shafts times 2 directions times 6 arrangements of the ingots.
And the same goes for the 9 other combinations of 3 different Mithril Ingot
And then there is all the combinations of 1 or 2 different ingot.
All these ways to make Mithril Axes sums up to 1266.

With a Forgers Guide that shows what each gems gives as enchantment you could keep the information in the Smithys guide to show that you need some Mithril Ingots, a type of shaft and that there is a left and a right version of each, instead of showing each and every combination arrangement shaft type and chiralty that can possibly give you a Mithril Axe.
